We Asked Our Students Why They Come to Binghamton Yoga And Here Is What They Had To Say: |
"Why do I come to Binghamton Yoga? That's easy! I come to Binghamton Yoga because it's how I take care of myself. I spend a lot of time taking care of other people and this time helps recharge me to do the best I can. I start the class and the world melts away. I center on the health I'm blessed with as I stretch and move in ways as I enjoy each and every class. The teachers are absolutely excellent, well-trained and sensitive to the needs of the students, with gentle help and direction always available. The time I spend here is special time, recharge and relax time and stretch 'til I pop time, all making me a better person. Yippee! And thanks." - Susanna |
"The classes at Binghamton Yoga are very powerful. The instructors have a graceful way of teaching students to accept their current state of mind and body, as they guide us into becoming relaxed, but also reenergized. I love that their practices are based on taking us out of our normal "thinking mind" - to help us eliminate our predetermined egocentric expression of what we think a pose or a body part needs to look like! No mirrors allowed. I'm very grateful for what Jason, Kim, and the other instructors at Binghamton Yoga are teaching me. They have helped me realize that yoga is a daily maintenance practice that helps keep me focused and balanced mentally, while strengthening my physical body . Yoga has been instrumental in teaching me to see my life in a much healthier & brighter way, especially now off of my mat." - Kelly |
"I've been attending classes at Binghamton Yoga for about a year now, and I'd like to thank my instructors for everything they have done to improve my life. I'm a 62-year-old woman with a very busy life and I had been suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis pain for years. The numbness and tingling in my arms would keep me awake for hours at a time. When I would get up in the morning, I could hardly walk from the arthritic pain in my hips. I would find myself dropping things because of the arthritis in my hands and fingers. The improvement has been remarkable. The carpal tunnel problems have almost vanished, and my arthritis pain has been significantly reduced. I'm married to a wonderful man who suffered a terrible accident in 2001 which left him a quadriplegic. Both of our lives have changed drastically since the accident. I am his sole caregiver, so I need the strength, flexibility, and patience that I get from yoga to take care of him. My husband, Brian, is also grateful and encourages me to attend classes as often as I can. I would highly recommend Binghamton Yoga for anyone, young or old, beginner or advanced." - Lois |
"In the past my activities have been very brutal to my body, even to the point of injury; the "no pain, no gain" mentality. As I age I still strive to stay in good shape and continue to take care of my body. I have formed a true sense of kindness and gentleness here in each yoga practice. The yogis here are the best! They help with tuning into our bodies and getting a real sense of strength along with respect for our bodies. I have been coming here for 3 years and still discover something new in each practice. I am hoping this will help me age gracefully"! - Lori |
