Emily has been practicing yoga for over 10 years to build awareness and stability within her body and mind. In her practice, she realized that the postures were an avenue to explore her body to learn more about its habits, strengths, and weaknesses.
Emily's classes focus on moving with ease and strength, in a way that is accessible to everyone, to build mind-body awareness, and a deep connection with ourselves. Our bodies are meant to experience all kinds of movement, so Emily encourages her students to calmly explore movements in their postures.
As director of Binghamton Yoga, Emily believes that each style of yoga is beneficial to the body, since, ultimately the body needs to move and stretch in many different ways to stay healthy. Binghamton Yoga's schedule reflects and honors that with a wide variety of styles and teachers for students to choose from.
