12/6: Therapeutic Yoga & Bodymind Ballwork for the Upper Body
Friday, 6 - 8 pm The shoulders, neck and arms frequently carry stress and tension formany people, and yogis are no exception. Foundational poses such as Downward Dog and inversions can become uncomfortable and even dangerous. In this workshop we will look at the biomechanics of this area of the body, and practice therapeutic techniques to relieve tension. We will learn how to align the neck, shoulders, arms and hands for maximum strength and flexibility in any level of yoga practice. Class will include Bodymind Ballwork, a bodywork method using rubber balls, which dramatically eases tension in the muscles and joints. Ellen will bring the balls, which can be purchased for home use at the end of the day. Please join us for a uniquely informative and enjoyable day!
