Kelly McGuire, RYT 200

Kelly has been practicing Yoga since 2000. Like so many others, she began a yoga routine for its physical benefits. The practice went far beyond her bodily enjoyment, and it started to resonate in her mind and spirit. She realized that a yoga routine offered physical, psychological, and spiritual growth, and she thus went on to explore different styles – Hatha, Ashtanga, Anusara, Iyengar, and Jivamukti. With an active professional life, in traveling for a corporate organization, to tending to her aging parents, while enjoying her 3 grandchildren, Kelly has been able to integrate yoga philosophy into all aspects of her life.

Kelly received her 200-TYY certification from Ahimsa Yoga Studio, with a concentration and accreditation at Dharma Yoga Center in New York City. Her classes are often inspired by Sri Dharma Mittra, and her practices are always dedicated to her stylistically-diverse group of teachers and mentors she has trained with along the way. Her varied practice has allowed her to find her own heart-centered approach to teaching. Her alignment-based classes emphasize the synergistic efforts of connecting the body with breath. Kelly teaches the practical uses of Pranayama, and she believes that breath is the greatest teacher and is a wonderful healer.

Kelly creates classes by balancing strength, flexibility, creativity and philosophy, and her light spirit provides a playful atmosphere for her students to build confidence. Her transformation of her own mind, body, and spirit through asana and meditation is a gift she feels blessed to share with others. Kelly continuously strives to create a community with her students, with a heart-to-heart connection to each individual. Her classes will always leave you feeling strong, calm, and ready to deal with daily stress!
