Linda is a registered yoga teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. She completed her 200-hour Yoga Alliance teacher training through YogaFit which is part of the Hatha yoga tradition and is a vinyasa style. Included in her trainings are YogaFit certifications in Anatomy & Alignment, Seniors, and PreNatal/PostPartum.
Linda began learning and practicing yoga in 2004 while recovering from knee surgery for an injury in Kyokushin karate training. For Linda, Yoga, like karate, combines the discipline of strengthening the body and improving flexibility while focusing on breath, mind, and body awareness. Linda started practicing at Binghamton Yoga in 2005 and began teaching in 2009. She continues study and practice by attending various yoga classes and workshops, locally and while traveling, in addition to her own self-practice.
Linda teaches vinyasa flow with focus on alignment enabling students to achieve maximum benefit from poses in a safe effective manner. She believes “Yoga is for everybody in every body and the never-ending journey of practicing yoga can bring balance to the body and the mind.”
