Matthew began his yoga journey 25 years ago at Binghamton University, where he first encountered a unique Hatha Yoga course designed for dancers. Captivated by this blend of yoga and dance, he eventually taught the course as a TA before moving to New York City to deepen his studies. Over the next two decades, Matthew trained in various yoga and movement disciplines—including Iyengar and Vinyasa Yoga, Gyrokinesis, Handstand Mechanics, and Body Balancing—each enriching his approach to teaching.

Matthew’s classes are thoughtfully structured, beginning with a gentle and fluid warm-up to prepare the body. From there, using alignment and props, he guides students first through postures that build strength and challenge balance, followed by an energizing asana sequence and a calming restorative cooldown to close.

With a supportive approach, Matthew is dedicated to helping each student find their unique path, reach their personal goals, and realign their bodies in a safe and encouraging environment. For Matthew, yoga is an eternal practice—let’s enjoy the journey, one asana at a time.
