Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to  wear a mask?
Yes.  NY State guidelines require everyone to wear a mask at all times.   If you aren't able to medically tolerate a mask, contact Emily at (607) 862-6701.

How do I register for class?
You can register for class online here.   Registration for class is   not  required, you can drop in. Class size is limited to 14 spots, 7 of which can be reserved. If you plan to drop-in to class, we recommend you come 15 minutes early.

Do you have a yoga mat I can borrow?
Due to COVID-19, we can no longer allow our mats to be borrowed, in an effort to limit the spread through common surfaces.

Is there a form I need to fill out?
We have a New Student Consent Form, which you can print out
here   and bring with you to the Studio. You can always fill it out in the studio. Just be sure to come 10 minutes early to your first class so you have time to fill out the form and get settled.

What do I do if I have an injury?
If it causes significant pain to move or support yourself, rest is always best.

If you  feel  ok to take class, be mindful as you practice and please mention any pre-existing injuries or special conditions to each teacher before class so they can offer additional support in your practice.

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, but snug clothing. Dress in layers if you know you tend to get cool.

Please leave your shoes and personal belongings in the waiting area or to the side of the practice space.  Shoes are not permitted in the practice area unless there is a medical reason - and if so, please bring very clean shoes.

Turn cell phones off or to silent mode during class.

Practice on an empty stomach.

Abandon the competitive mind set and check your ego at the door. Yoga is not about doing what the person next to you is doing, but rather about enjoying this time with yourself as you explore body, mind, and breath.
