Qoya is a dance movement class exclusively for women of all ages,
body types, and levels of dance experience. Classes have a clear structure and plenty of guidance but within the structure each dancer has the freedom to have their own unique and meaningful experience.
Qoya is based on the idea that through movement we remember that
Our essence is wise, wild, and free
Wise: calling on the wisdom of yoga
Wild: the creative expression in dance
Free: enjoy being in our bodies through feminine movement

About Mary Vivona
Mary is a certified Qoya teacher trained by Qoya founder Rochelle Scheik. She began dancing at a very young age and has always enjoyed expressing herself through movement. She was thrilled to discover Qoya and have a way to bring dance back into a prominent place in her life.
Mary brings experience with a number of different traditions to her classes. In addition to practicing yoga she spent many years studying Native American wisdom, is a Reiki Master and has completed a year long shamanic apprenticeship. Through her studies and practices she has gained a deep respect for life and the connection we share with each other and the earth.
Mary was attracted to Qoya because it brings together all of the things she loves and gives her a way to share them with others. Qoya is fun but more importantly to Mary, it gives dancers the opportunity to tune into themselves and discover that they really are wise, wild, and free. She hopes that her classes will help women remember that they are each unique, special people with so much love to give and receive.
